Amanda Almqvist Jonsson (Sverige)

Skulptur-serien “Moder jord gråter” er skapt av drivved og andre materialer som kunstneren har kommet over i naturen. Materialer med ulik opprinnelse, alder og bakgrunn kombineres på uventede måter og de organiske materialenes vakre særpreg og personlighet trer frem. Installasjonen består også av en rekke keramiske-skulpturer: fantasifulle skapninger som kan ses som hovedpersonene i det ukjente livet som utspiller seg på bunnen av de store verdenshavene.

Amanda Almqvist Jonsson (30) kommer fra Sverige og er student på Formakademin i Lidköping, hvor hun studerer keramisk form og produksjon.

The sculptures “Mother Earth Cries” is made of driftwood and other materials that the artist has come across in nature. Materials of different origins, age and backgrounds are combined in unexpected ways, and the beautiful characteristics and personalities of the organic materials emerge. The installation also consists of several ceramic sculptures: imaginative creatures that may be interpreted as the protagonists of the life at the bottom of the big seas.

Amanda Almqvist Jonsson (30) is from Sweden and is a student at Formakademin in Lidköping, where she studies ceramic production.
